I am just interested...
The trend for apartment living, coupled with government policies relating to city living, brownfield land, the environment and the rapid development of large scale mixed tenure and mixed use schemes under programmes such as Housing Market Renewal, mean that the city’s leasehold population is expected to grow.
Despite these policies, public and private services designed to meet the needs of leaseholders are almost non existent within the city. There has, to date, been no forum or mechanism to collect and represent their collective experience and views. To fill this gap, and also establish a way to support leaseholders, the Engage Partnership has been established by Liverpool City Council, the Federation of Liverpool Waterfront Residents Associations and Liverpool City Centre Leaseholders' Federation with support from Plus Dane Group.
Engage is a resident-led initiative that brings together leaseholders and residents from Liverpool Waterfront and City Centre apartments under one umbrella to discuss and share issues affecting them, to formulate and agree solutions, and take collective action.
