Canning River Entrance Swing Bridge - CLOSED!

Dear Resident,

Please be aware that Canning River Entrance Swing Bridge (on Riverside Walkway) will be closed to pedestrians from 0800 Monday 30thJanuary for at least three days. British Waterways need to carry out urgent repairs to the abutment plate (and associated hydraulics) on the south side of the bridge.  A pedestrian diversion will be in place, over the adjacent, Canning River Entrance retractable bridge (the original bridge). This bridge is narrower than the swing bridge, but given the time of year, we do not anticipate a problem with pedestrian flow.

A small ‘City Crane’ will be on site at the start of the works and towards the end of the works.

Regards
