Engage is delighted to share with our residents a fascinating event that Merseyside Civic Society are putting on so we can learn more about the history of the building of the railways in Liverpool and the state of the tunnels these railways left behind.

Merseyside Civic Society have appropriately chosen Edge Hill railway station, one of the oldest railway stations in the world still in use, as its venue for raising awareness of the importance of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway in this 2025 bicentenary year of the birth of the modern railway.
