Last night Liverpool partied when the news was revealed that the city had been awarded the right to host Eurovision 2023! It was warmly welcomed across the board by all organisations in the city who are delighted to have the opportunity to showcase our great city on a world stage.
Engage will be working to make sure that residents of the waterfront and city centre are fully a part of the preparation process in the build-up to May 2023. In the meantime we congratulate everyone who has worked so hard to achieve this remarkable result against the best opposition in the country.

27th SEPTEMBER 2022:
Whilst hosting the Labour Party Conference in the city we heard the great news that together with Glasgow Liverpool has been shortlisted to host the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.
There is still some time to go before a decision is made but everyone in the city is keeping their fingers crossed that Liverpool will succeed. It would be a great honour for our city to play host to Eurovision as we would be standing in for the people of Ukraine who ought to have been hosting the event but due to the dreadful Russian invasion of their country it is impossible for them to host it after winning it last year.
