When: Wed 17th Jun - 18.00

Where: Your Home

We are absolutely delighted to be able to offer you this week on our big neighbourhood dinner table one of the most amazing culinary stories in Liverpool involving a restaurant that has won the hearts of everyone with its exceptional service and deliciously innovative food. It is of course Maray!

Maray have recently expanded to both Allerton the Royal Albert Dock, but as we are supporting independent restaurants in the city centre, we ask you to order your meal from their Bold Street restaurant, and it will be delivered to your home by Uber Eats (no minimum order, ~£2 delivery fee).

You can find out more about menus and delivery on their website or go straight to the Bold Street Uber Eats page to order your food.

We then hope that you not only enjoy the food but also join us to share a meal together on Zoom as we have done since the first week of lockdown. We are a friendly bunch and there have been no problems at all with joining via the Zoom link – give it a try and give us a try too! Meet some of your neighbours from across the city centre and waterfront.

How does it work?

On Wednesday 17th June:

  1. At around 4-5pm, place your order on the Uber Eats Maray Bold Street page. Allow about 1 hour for delivery. IF THERE ARE PROBLEMS RING: 0151 709 5820
  2. At 6pmjoin our Zoom Room here, on your laptop, phone, or tablet.
  3. Connect with your fellow residents, share some stories, and share a meal… and maybe make some new friends!

What is Zoom?

Zoom is a free video conferencing app, used by millions of people around the world. It works on any phone, tablet, or computer with a front-facing camera.

You can make your evening smoother by downloading the Zoom app in advance, via this link.

Then, at dinner time on Wednesday, you can use the same link to join our Zoom Room again, or you can open up the Zoom app on your device and enter the meeting ID: 608 926 5987.

Why are you doing this?

Liverpool’s retailers, and especially its cafés, restaurants, and bars, are facing an unprecedented challenge as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, residents all across the city centre face the prospect of becoming more and more isolated as this situation goes on.

We, at Engage, want to do our bit to help address both of these issues. Using our network of city centre and waterfront residents, and our contacts with local food providers, we want to help combat the social isolation that many of us are starting to feel. And if we can also share some really good food at the same time, then all the better!

If you have any suggestions for future restaurants, or ideas for how we can support you during this pandemic, please contact us at chair@engageliverpool.com.
