Liverpool City Council announced today (Monday 10th December) that there is a Public Consultation taking place in 2 days time at Central Library to review plans for the redevelopment of St George’s Hall Plateau and Lime Street.
It is strange that this only seemed to emerge on social media and in the Liverpool Echo today giving local people very little time to notice the proposals and take part in this one-off consultation exercise. It is a far cry from the excellent Negotiated Urban Planning approach that we heard about from our colleagues in the Bordeaux World Heritage Site at our recent WHS Cities of Inspiration seminar series.
The consultation today (Wednesday 12th December) from 10.00am to 6.00pm turned out to be an exhibition and the Consultation continues until 4th January online. They insisted at the public event that the link for this internet consultation was in the pack of information distributed but in fact it wasn’t. A search for the on-line form proved difficult and the page wasn’t found.
Then link has now been made and you can make your views known HERE
