Slavery Remembrance Day has been marked on 23 August in Liverpool since 1999. This year, the memorial is moving online, with a series of free events including Dorothy Kuya Memorial Lectures from human rights campaigner and artist, Zita Holbourne, and Professor of African American Studies at Berkeley, California, Stephen Small.
