Liverpool will host the 2026 Liverpool Half Marathon and 10 Mile event on Sunday 15 March, organised by Born To Run in partnership with Liverpool City Council. The event will bring thousands of runners into the city and along the waterfront and through south Liverpool.

To allow the event to take place safely, temporary road closures will be in place across parts of the city.

Road closures will be implemented from 4:00am until approximately 3:00pm, although many streets will reopen earlier as the race progresses.

The race route travels from the city centre and waterfront through Princes Park, Sefton Park and Aigburth before returning to the city centre.

Key Road Closures

Many roads across the city centre, waterfront and south Liverpool will be temporarily closed. Any roads crossing or joining the listed roads will also be closed at the junction during the closure period.
Closures typically between 08:30 – 11:00
