When: Wed 24th Jun - 18.00

Where: Your Home

This week your big neighbourhood dinner table was going to bring you the amazing food from VietNom – the Berry Street Vietnamese street food restaurant. So far we have brought to your table delightful food from 13 different independent restaurants operating from the city centre and tonight would have been our 14th!

SADLY WE HAVE FOUND OUT TODAY THAT VIETNOM ARE NOT OPENING TONIGHT WEDNESDAY AS WE HAD ORIGINALLY THOUGHT. YOU CAN ORDER MEALS FROM THEM ONLY OVER THE WEEKEND APPARENTLY.

SO PLEASE ORDER FOOD FROM ANYWHERE YOU LIKE FOR TONIGHT AND JOIN US AT THE USUAL TIME ON ZOOM.

YOU CAN CHECK OUT ALL OUR PREVIOUS RESTAURANTS ON THIS PAGE HERE

We first came across these wonderful guys when they opened at Baltic Market in 2018 and have grown their reputation to now be able to operate from their own Berry Street location. You can find out more about their amazing new place on their Facebook page and see their full menu and delivery service on Uber Eats.

Don’t forget that once the food arrives we’d love to see you in our Zoom Room where we share together a meal with chat and laughter at which you’d be more than welcome.

You can read more about them at Explore Liverpool and Confidentials Liverpool.

How does it work?

On Wednesday 24th June:

  1. At around 5pm, place your order WITH ANYONE YOU LIKE and allow about 1 hour for delivery.
  2. At 6pmjoin our Zoom Room here, on your laptop, phone, or tablet.
  3. Connect with your fellow residents, share some stories, and share a meal… and maybe make some new friends!

What is Zoom?

Zoom is a free video conferencing app, used by millions of people around the world. It works on any phone, tablet, or computer with a front-facing camera.

You can make your evening smoother by downloading the Zoom app in advance, via this link.

Then, at dinner time on Wednesday, you can use the same link to join our Zoom Room again, or you can open up the Zoom app on your device and enter the meeting ID: 608 926 5987.

Why are you doing this?

Liverpool’s retailers, and especially its cafés, restaurants, and bars, are facing an unprecedented challenge as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, residents all across the city centre face the prospect of becoming more and more isolated as this situation goes on.

We, at Engage, want to do our bit to help address both of these issues. Using our network of city centre and waterfront residents, and our contacts with local food providers, we want to help combat the social isolation that many of us are starting to feel. And if we can also share some really good food at the same time, then all the better!

If you have any suggestions for future restaurants, or ideas for how we can support you during this pandemic, please contact us at chair@engageliverpool.com.
