One of the great spin-offs from Engage being invited to attend the CitizensLab meetings in Berlin and Brussels was the connection we made with a wonderful woman from Lithuania, Jekaterina Lavrinec an Associate-Professor of Urban Studies at the Gediminas Technical University in Vilnius, who has accepted our invitation to come to Liverpool to share with us her amazing project that connects residents and citizens with their heritage and built environment.

Urbingo is an interactive board game that enables people of all ages to join in a process of discovery and story-telling that leads them to seek out new and unexplored places in their city and at the same time find out more about the history of the place where they live.

Jekaterina has agreed to come to Liverpool as the guest speaker at our Engage Annual Conference on 5th July from 5.30pm at the Quaker Meeting House. Anyone is welcome to come and we especially require families, young people, history teachers, designers, artists and photographers (which is everyone these days!) because following her initial meeting with us she will return to run a 4 or 5 day Urbingo Workshop where we will put together our very own designed and branded Liverpool Urbingo game. This will be at the end of August beginning of September. All details will be shared as soon as we have them.
