Engage’s application to the City Council for the Baltic Triangle to be designated as a potential Neighbourhood Forum has been approved which now means that the members of the Forum have to accept a Constitution and agreeĀ terms and conditions for delivering a Neighbourhood Plan for the area.
This news has been welcomed by everyone who is keen to see the neighbourhood develop and grow but with principles decided by those who live and work there.
There is plenty of work ahead for the Forum and that means many gatherings of residents and businesses to start discussing how people want to see growth managed in the Baltic. Engage is delighted to have played a part in delivering a more democratic and accountable structure for the Baltic that gives real powers in the area of planning to those who will be most affected by future development.
