On Wednesday October 4th we launched the 2017 Engage Seminar Series ‘Liverpool UNESCO World Heritage Site: A Status Worth Fighting For?’

The third seminar in the series was entitled ‘Heritage Assets – Where’s the Value?’ and was held at St George’s Hall in the Civil Court. The international UNESCO speaker was Dr Minja Yang President and Professor of the Raymond Lemaire International Centre for Conservation at the Catholic University, Louvain, Belgium and formerly Deputy-Director of the World Heritage Centre and Ccordinator of the World Heritage Cities Programme and formerly Director of the Subregional Office in New Delhi.

The national speaker was Chris Blandford, President of World Heritage UK.

The Local Panel was Pat Power, Director Harcourt Developments, Stanley Dock: Prof Lin Foxhall Head School of Histories, Languages and Cultures and Rathbone Professor of Ancient History and Classical Archaeology, University of Liverpool; Cllr Alice Bennett, Mayoral Lead for Heritage and Design.
