Amazing support for Liverpool to have a traffic-free Sunday has been revealed in a public vote with the Yes option running at 92% when we published this article.

On the Liverpool Confidential website you can have your say on a proposition being put forward by Green Party councillor Anna Key and we urge you to give it your support. This idea was massively welcomed at the Engage seminar series 2014 Liverpool On The Move and sadly despite Mayor Anderson being invited to the final seminar and other Labour politicians being present at each event none has been able to bring forward progressive ideas for improving air quality in the city and shifting the balance of mobility from private cars to walking and cycling and public transport.

Last year we brought a speaker from Bristol to the seminars who told us about the efforts they were making to re-balance their city towards a more sustainable future and it is this city that has inspired Cllr Key with her proposition.
