Those Waterfront residents who attended last year’s Waterfront Residents Meeting were introduced to a wonderful new project that has come to us from the Wirral and is now based on Sefton Street called Hype Urban Bikes.

This April they are launching a project they spoke about which is to offer free bikes rides to residents who live along the waterfront and in the city centre (and wider afield too of course) starting on Saturday 18th April 2026 from 1.00pm until 4.00pm.

This is an amazing opportunity for Engage residents who might be looking to connect with other locals and also might want to take a step to a more healthy lifestyle. The project is EVERY SATURDAY at the same time for the NEXT 4 MONTHS.

If you’d like to encourage the neighbours were you live to join with you, drop into the Hype Bike Shop at the bottom of Sefton Street near the Coburg Pub and ask for some flyers to distribute where you live. They’d be happy to help you out and together we can support this wonderful initiative.
