The well known and much loved Roscoe Head pub has been sold and the landlady is worried that the new owners will close it down and turn it into a shop or flats. The pub has many CAMRA awards and is sought after for it’s wide and changing selection of real ales.

Cllr Nick Small has started a campaign to get it listed as an asset of community value which might go some way to showing the new owners how passionate people are about saving Liverpool’s historic pubs.

The Grade II listed pub has been in the Good Beer Guide every year since 1974. Carol Ross pub landlady who took over the license from her parents when they died is fighting to keep this delightful pub from closing.
