The Baltic Triangle Development Framework document went to Council in December 2017 and was published shortly after. This work was done at the request of Cllr Anne O’Byrne who met with local stakeholders who had serious concerns about planning decisions that were causing harm to the sense of place as well as to the future prosperity of the area.

Engage had tried to deliver a Neighbourhood Plan for the area but there were a number of problems once Engage handed over the work they had completed to local activists. There was also opposition to the idea from within the Council.
